I have been using Hardy products for over 15 years and this Fortuna is the best Fortuna yet. The large arbor makes it so much more enjoyable to pick up backing while chasing poons and the drag is incredibly smooth.

Took 5 of em to cuba. Pulled hard on fish. Drag knob is very intuitive. Large arbor = Fast pickup. Great reels. Would recomment to any and all.

Just spent two days on the Llano River in Texas fishing for Guadeloupe bass, only on top water and armed only with my new Hardy Fortuna. It can get windy in West Texas. The Fortuna met the challenge. I particularly loved the “indicator” on the drag wheel. It gives a fisherman a clear idea of how much he or she is increasing or decreasing drag. I can’t wait to get back on the water again.
