    Hardy Stood by This Reel!

    Hardy absolutely stood behind their Cascapedia reel and made me feel valued as a loyal Hardy customer.

    I'm writing this to update my earlier post with 1 star due to leader getting stuck in the reel and ruining it.

    Otherwise, this is a 5 Star Reel and I did not have any problems with it!

    You will love this reel, Just Remove Your Leader Before You Store It Every Time!

    Spring keeps breaking

    I have a 6/7 and the drag at max settig is to light, and the spring in the click and pawl drag has broken twice. Otherwise no complaints.

    Leaders Get Stuck in this Reel!

    This is a beautiful reel, but Hardy should warn you not to leave a leader on it in storage.

    The leader will slip through an opening and jam the gears and render the reel unusable.

    I own several Hardy reels and I am a loyal purchaser.

    However, when I sent the reel to Hardy for repair, I was suppose to receive a call back regarding cost of repair.

    Instead, After waiting 1-1/2 months, Hardy did not call back and just sent back the reel un-repaired.

    I am deeply disappointed because I loved using this reel and never expected this customer service lapse.

    I would have given the reel a 5 Star rating if Hardy had actually handled the repair and warned not to store a leader on your reel. Now, I have a useless nearly US$900 reel.

    A little research on Spey Pages revealed that other Hardy Cascapedia owners have been very frustrated by this same problem. Very disappointing when I loved using this reel prior to this experience.

    I hope Hardy makes this right for a loyal customer like myself.
