Bob has been fishing for 40 years and is a member of GAIA (Game Anglers Instructors Association), and also holds a Level 2 Coaching Award for Game Fishing.

Bob has an extensive knowledge of the local rivers especially the Coquet and the North Tyne. His experience has led him to be appointed as a trustee on the board of the Northumbrian Anglers' Federation. This means Bob helps to manage all the 'federation' waters on the main Tyne and Coquet rivers. He is also co-author of North East Stillwater Trout Fishing which means Bob has tremendous knowledge of the region's stillwaters and how to fish them successfully.

As 'founder' of the Hirst Park Trout Ticklers fishing club, Bob has introduced several hundred youngsters to fly fishing. Five members of the club have represented England in the Youth Fly Fishing team.
Having worked for seven years at Hardy & Greys in Alnwick, Bob has a wide range of fishing tackle to help anyone to develop their skills. When coaching and instructing Bob ensures that learning is fun as hundreds of clients of all ages can testify.
